Please join us! Members of North Fork local chapter of CTTT are committed to addressing the legacies and aftermaths of enslavement through:
Juneteenth Proclamation Event 2024
Uncovering History: researching, acknowledging, and sharing personal, family, community, state, and national histories of race with openness and honesty Making Connections: connecting to others within and across racial lines in order to develop and deepen relationships Working Toward Healing: exploring how we can heal together through dialogue, reunion, ritual, meditation, prayer, ceremony, the arts, apology and other methods Taking Action: actively seeking to dismantle systems of racial inequality, injustice, and oppression; to work for the transformation of our nation.
We help people engage in honest and courageous conversations by providing a safe space using the circle process borrowed from our indigenous siblings which promotes deep listening. Along with Dr. Martin Luther King, our goal is to form a Beloved Community where each person is seen as a brother or sister. You can also join us on Facebook and Instagram.
