The Coming to the Table Approach
These workshops are designed to support you in learning to effectively utilize the “CTTT Approach” in transforming race narratives and dismantling systems of racial inequity in your community. Since the Covid Pandemic impacted all of us beginning in 2020, all workshops have been virtual, utilizing Zoom. We anticipate most workshops will continue to be scheduled virtually, and we’re also open to scheduling workshops (in person or virtual) for groups not affiliated directly with CTTT and still doing racial healing/justice work.
These workshops are especially designed for CTTT Local Affiliate Group leaders and members, and for anyone thinking about starting a CTTT Local Affiliate Group in your community. They are also applicable to any group committed to undoing racism and transforming our world into a just and equitable place for all. This training will offer you resources to improve your skills and effectiveness in your anti-racism work, to launch a CTTT Local Affiliate Group, or support you in enhancing the work you and/or your group, church, school, workplace, etc. are already doing.
These workshops include training in the key aspects of the CTTT Approach: Touchstone Agreements, use of Circle Processes, Shared Values, Strategies for Trauma Awareness & Resilience, Restorative Justice, Uncovering History, Building Connections, Healing Together, and Taking Action. These workshops include a great deal of interaction. The typical CTTT workshop takes place over two days; four hours per day. CTTT is flexible to meet the needs of your group.
