Strategies for Trauma Awareness & Resilience Training

Strategies for Trauma Awareness and Resilience (STAR) rests at the foundation of Coming to the Table. STAR is a research-supported training program that began in 2001. STAR brings together theory and practices from neurobiology, conflict transformation, human security, spirituality, and restorative justice to address the needs of trauma-impacted individuals and communities.

Coming to the Table incorporated STAR principles into its approach to Transforming Historical Harms: Facing History, Making Connections, Healing Wounds, and Taking Action. Through STAR Training, students and practitioners will come to understand the Cycles of Violence people get caught up in after traumatic experiences, as well as tools for Breaking Free and Building Resilience to those cycles.

Coming to the Table strongly endorses the STAR training program. Scholarships are often available for CTTT members enrolling in STAR. For more information, Contact CTTT.
