VA – NOVA (Vienna; Northern Virginia)

The Northern Virginia (Vienna) local group of Coming to the Table is a diverse group of descendants of enslavers, those whose ancestors were enslaved, and free people as well as people who wish to learn, grow and help heal the damage that racism has inflicted throughout the country, institutions, and society. We typically meet on the second Monday of the month, by Zoom, to discuss various topics that support the CTTT principles and presenters that explore the rich living history of Northern Virginia and other Southern States. Our future focus includes meeting together intermittently in-person to celebrate black history by visiting little-known public spaces and buildings, and support the Northern Virginia Black community, e.g. cleaning up a black-owned cemetery that is overgrown, trips to the movies, Juneteenth celebrations, potluck dinners, and many other activities.  We look forward to you joining us!!!!!
