Juneteenth 2014

For Juneteenth in 2014, the day when many enslaved people discovered they had been freed, Dionne Ford, a descendant of enslaved people and enslavers, and Elizabeth Sturges Llerena, a descendant of the largest slave-trading family in the U.S., were interviewed for Arise News in New York City. Both women are members of Coming to the Table.
