Year of Liberation Walk Talk #2 – Linked Descendants

January 14 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm PST
Virtual Event

Walk Talk #2: Linked Descendants
Join us for a powerful Linked Descendants Walk Talk featuring an opening origin story from Linked Descendants co-founder Prinny Anderson. Sarah Fleming and Stephen Hammond will then share the story of the Arlington House Family Circle—Black and white descendants of the enslaved and enslavers coming together for truth-telling, relationship-building, and ongoing collaboration. You’ll hear how years of groundwork, genealogy, and DNA research helped make a historic reunion possible, and how descendant communities are building coalitions, protecting accurate public history, and inviting all of us into the real work of healing across lines of legacy.

What is a Walk Talk?
Walk Talks are live, community conversations in the Year of Liberation—stories of freedom in practice. Each session lifts up one part of Coming to the Table’s national work and offers a concrete example of what it can look like to move from history and heartbreak into relationship, repair, and collective action.
