Descendants touched by slavery come to the table
“Despite the time separating current Americans from the era of legal slavery, the wounds of racial injustice remain fresh for the descendants of slaves, especially in the face of ignorance or denial.
“Those issues were at the forefront of a gathering of Coming to the Table, a national organization focused on addressing the trauma that remains 150 years after the end of slavery.”
