The Coming to the Table DC/MD/VA group includes people who live in the Metro Washington DC area, Maryland, and Northern Virginia. We meet monthly in the Washington DC area.
We’ve met at the following locations: Bethesda Green in Bethesda, MD; Button Farm Living History Center in Montgomery County, MD; Davies Memorial Unitarian Universalist Church in Camp Springs, Maryland; Martin Luther King Jr. branch of the Washington DC Public Library; and Westminster Presbyterian Church in Southwest Washington DC.
The Washington DC gatherings have included presentations by local authors, CTTT members, and discussions of Transforming Historical Harms. At the beginning of each gathering, the group reads the CTTT Vision, Mission, and Values and the Touchstones for Deep Dialogue and Sharing.
The Coming to the Table DC/MD/VA group offers a regional listserv to inform members about Coming to the Table gatherings, as well as related events of interest to members, in the Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia areas.
Coming to the Table DC/MD/VA group member Van Caldwell, a historian and lawyer, has developed a presentation on slavery and reconstruction which is available to CTTT groups and the public upon request.
